 Christmas Fitness Surviving the Festive Season Are you going to let the 12 days of Christmas over indulging take it’s toll on your waist line ? Here’s 12 healthy tips to help you beat the weight gain that will serve you all year long.
1. Take one-third off. Most American restaurant portions are huge, when you eat dinner out, reduce the temptation to clean your plate. Get into the habit of setting aside one-third of your meal. Ask the server for a doggie bag, and take it home for lunch the next day. Try serving yourself one-third less at home too. This simple tactic could subtract more than 500 calories a day from your diet.
2. Drink more water. I recommend at least 8 glasses a day, you really can’t have too much especially if you are on a high protein diet as protein needs a lot more water than carbohydrates to digest properly. What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus Santa Barbara ? California is a beautiful state... You can surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon with only a 2 hour drive in between. Santa Barbara is known for its 5 beaches and wine country and although its only an hour and a half drive, there is certainly a lot of differences in the culture.
I love the diversity of Los Angeles and how amazing the service is because we are all way too qualified for our day jobs and pursuing something greater. I love that your UBER driver has a PhD and no one blinks an eye at that.  Santa Barbara is very romantic and laid back. Its a great place to visit and I highly recommend going there for …
