The King reigns supreme & packs a 'social' punch at the BAFTAS

The nominees have been announced for this year's BRITISH ACADEMY (As they like to be called now) formerly BAFTA . The King's Speech leaped ahead with a whopping 14 nominations, including Best Film, Cinematography, An expected Best Actor nod for Colin Firth. Geoffrey Rush; Best Supporting Actor and Helena Bonham-Carter for Best Supporting Whactress, sorry I mean, Actress. Nods for director and Writer are among them also.

The Social Network, the big Globes victor, only has six BAFTA nominations.

Pete Postlethwaite, who passed away two weeks ago, received a posthumous Supporting Actor nomination for The Town. (Which I believe he deserved)  joined by Other Brits Andrew Garfield for The Social Network and Christian Bale for The Fighter. Three nods for the British ladies too, Helena Bonham-Carter will be competing against Made in Dagenham's Miranda Richardson and Mike Leigh's darling, Leslie Manville for Another Year.

Who do you think is most deserving?

Here's the full list…

Banksy does it again...or does he?

A mysterious eBay user put the "real name" of the anonymous street artist up for sale on the site. Is Banksy himself behind the stunt? Read the statements below and tell us what you think?

The auction was pulled off the site on the eve of the its close, leaving observers wondering if Banksy himself — renowned for his stenciled grafitti work and a controversial intro he created for "The Simpsons" last year — devised the "sale" as a hoax. The seller, known only as "jaybuysthings," claimed he'd uncovered the artist's real identity through tax records. Was this just another Banksy prank?

It certainly smells like the work of Banksy: Given that Banksy has a "penchant for pulling fast ones on the public,&qu…

Come Fly With Me - new show from Matt Lucas and David Walliams

A new show brought to you from the boys who made Little Britain. It is a very strange show and I haven't quite decided if I love it or hate it, but I have still managed to watch 3 episodes! Set in an airport, Matt Lucas and David Walliams play every role, from stewardesses, luggage handler , coffee shop manager, Japanese groupies and many more. It has been accused of being racist and inappropriate, but would you expect any less from these two? Have you seen it? If so what do you think?
